Hi Vlad,
BRITISH RESPECT has turned up in Kwinana, Western Australia with a load of crude.

Help and Advice / Re: RITSKE - a cement carrier?
« on: January 07, 2016, 12:49:14 PM »
Just as an aside to the thread, it could quite easily be delivering cement to the oilfields. Oilwell cement (aka API Class G) is used in large quantities by the oil industry. It is a highly specialised product designed to set in the high temperatures and pressures to support the structure of the drill hole.

I think Pieter is absolutely correct, anything CFD should disappear from sight as soon as possible. To keep it visible provides the opportunity for all and sundry to start calling for its retention. This in turn makes the Admin's position more difficult.

As for MT, you are being generous Clyde in "waiting may hours", my most recent uploads are now at 3 days and still pending. They also need to clean up the existing mess before they get too judgmental, I've submitted a few "Recommend Removal" on some real shockers but to no effect so far.

Cheers,
Hans

Hi all,
Great to see someone has opened this thread. Same goes for adding "Henderson, Western Australia". I have to put it in as "Kwinana" which it isn't. There are some that could be removed too such as Busselton, it is a smallish marina and nothing more.

Hans

Help and Advice / Re: Possible Fremantle Pilot Vessel "Berkeley"

I think sea trials too. She ran out to the outer pilot ground a couple of times yesterday though didn't appear to pull alongside any ships. Nice to have her here but "Parmelia" isn't all that old.

There's a bunch of them around Fremantle harbour in Western Australia:  http://www.fremantleports.com.au/Operations/Harbourcams/Pages/default.aspx A few could use a good wipe though.   :)

Excellent video Chris, thanks very much. Like Brian, I also managed a number of shots of her at the Austal jetty over the years and in dry-dock just before her departure. Always a pleasing sight and great to see she finally has a job. All credit to Austal for the gesture of building a ship just to keep the employees in work.
The blurb on the Condor website describes her as "coming back" to England and "returning" to England, I didn't realise she had already been there before the Philipines...or are they just talking a load of old "marketing"?   ;)

Shipping News and information / Re: Austal hull 270 on route to UK

That is terrific news. I used to pass it most weekends as I headed out from the local boat club (with camera in hand) into Cockburn Sound. Very sad seeing it idle month after month at the Austal Ships jetty. :D

Likewise. I uploaded "Densa Cheetah" which is still showing as the latest upload on the homepage, the next one 30 seconds later failed.

Hans, Fremantle
