Possible Fremantle Pilot Vessel "Berkeley"
« on: June 20, 2015, 02:16:13 PM »
Hi

I spotted today what appears to be a new pilot vessel at the Fremantle Pilots berths. It is named "Berkeley" and has the number, MH9052 on her side.  I haven't had much luck finding out anything more about her.

Anyone have any information by any chance?

Thanks
Andrew

Hi Andrew

MMSI: 503025040
Call Sign: VJN4861
Length: 18m
Breadth: 6m

Info: Marine Traffic.com

Which have her as a High Speed Craft.

She is a busy vessel. History shows since 08-06-15 Berkeley has been working Kwinana Anchorage, Port Denison, Geraldton and Fremantle. Maybe Sea Trials?

Regards

Peter

Thanks Peter. I thought I had checked http://marinetraffic.com but clearly not. I should have also guessed Hans would have photographed her as well :)

Interestingly as you note she has been working the various ports along the coast here. Sea trials does sound plausible. I wonder where she will be station.

I think sea trials too. She ran out to the outer pilot ground a couple of times yesterday though didn't appear to pull alongside any ships. Nice to have her here but "Parmelia" isn't all that old.

Hans
