Noor IMO 7104441 declared a CTL after hitting a reef at Sawakin, Sudan in August 2021. Ruptured hull and loss of one propeller.

Now in the Gulf of Aden heading east to unknown breaker??

On another site iv'e read she was involved in a grounding incident, resulting in the loss of a propeller. After a few weeks alongside in Sawakin she limped to her present anchorage in October last year where she has remained ever since. Surely a CTL?? Does anyone have any info on the grounding?

Update: After 3 months invisible Noor 1 has appeared again in the last few days still in the same postion at anchor off Port Sudan.

Guess she must be laid up - we'll see what she gets up to in due course.

Could this site not explore a collaboration with say Equasis, technical data in exchange for some photos? Surely it would be a win win for both parties? Just a thought

Bring this thread back from the abyss, was there any answers from the IT department?

I ask as i posted a test photo tonight after a few months break from the site and it still appears "fuzzy", but sharp in "Original" and on my laptop.

Is this site having to save server space i wonder by "softening" the uploads? Thoughts?

In light of the recent mini cull of Red Sea pilgrim ferries, does anyone have any info on the fate of the 1971 built Noor 1?.

She remarkably is 50 years old, but was last on the ship tracking sites in early October, since then nothing. If she's still at anchor off Port Sudan (her last known position) are the bells finally toiling for this old lady.

« on: November 04, 2021, 05:45:52 PM »
Hi all, hoping someone can clarify a couple of things for me on behalf of a friend.

Firstly does anyone know the Registration letters for Cullercoats?

And secondly the vessel BOY DAVID KY95 is she definitely registered to cullercoats or elsewhere?

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Richard

Simon exactly my experience, the other week I had a pin sharp photo straight off the camera, went to upload it here and it was fuzzy, BUT in original view it was pin sharp again.

Anyways i deleted it at the time as it just didn't look right. There's defo something changed though because I can never remember the site changing the clarity of my photos to such a degree as it does now.

I thought i'd bring this thread back to the table as in my opinion recently this issue of softening of photos seem to be getting worse - or maybe it's just me and my advancing years and eyesight! Curious to know other thoughts on this, anyone?

Is there a reason why Astoria isn't sailing to Lisbon under her own power?
