Noor IMO 7104441 declared a CTL after hitting a reef at Sawakin, Sudan in August 2021. Ruptured hull and loss of one propeller.

Now in the Gulf of Aden heading east to unknown breaker??

Tug CHRISTOS LXI took something from Piraeus area to Aliaga 2/2/2022.  Anyone know what?
Rumours that might have been ORCADIA ex-SATURN (IMO 7615490)
[not ZAFER which apparently arrived under power from Famagusta]

Are you sure? I have not seen her carrying any ferry but herself.

Have enquired.
Apparently CHRISTOS LXI took a small barge to Aliaga from Eleusis (not necessarily for scrapping), but the voyage was also a "shake-down trial" after a period of refit.

According to https://shipandbunker.com/news/features/risk-management/679917-weekly-vessel-scrapping-report-2022-week-6, ORCADIA did arrive about then, but must have been a different tug.  Anything more definite?

Hej Geir!
Not that i have a better explanation but in my opinion, this is very unlikely. The ship is one of the newer units of a well-known Japanese shipping company and has started a new five-year class run only in 2021.
All the best,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

Seems like HALCON TRADER has been beached already, wondering why as she's only 6 years old,
I guess it must have been something wrong with the vessel but she was sailing under her own power so it seems a bit strange 🤔

Brgds,
Geir
