AISLive and MarineTraffic are using more less the same AIS Sources. I don't think that this transponder was really installed on the vessel, otherwise coastal authorities were already told about this problem. This is much more serious than just a false track in internet AIS trackers - could affect to safety.

Wonder if this could be possible with so many different sites all showing the same thing and presumably taking their streams from different sources?

If you have AIS receiver you can contact AISLive and MarineTraffic in order to provide AIS data to both services. So you can send this vessel track and enjoy.
I think there isn't this vessel in Helcom or MedAIS because they use only trusted source.
Has somebody any contacts in these providers? May be it's good idea to ask what source has supplied this data and it's geographic position.

If it's an unknown navy vessel the swedish forces had been alerted when passing so close to their coast.
