The vessel I referred to was the 103, bought by Technip from Oceanteam. Oceanteam got into a bit of a financial mess with some cablelaying contracts and the sale was part of their refinancing package.
She is the third in a five ship series being built in Spain.
102 is indeed on the Tyne, originally preparing for a 5 year charter to a Mexican company which was due to commence shortly. I think she was having cranes fitted. However this charter has now been cancelled, possibly the reason for the change in deck gear. She is now on charter to ABB for a cable lay job in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea ( Gjoea field for Statoil).This project is delayed.
Thw 101 is jointly owned by Bourbon and on long term charter in Angola.
