Hoegh Galleon- is she bound for lay- up again?
« on: April 10, 2007, 06:18:28 PM »
Pilot is booked for Hoegh galleon 12/04.07 from a pilot station on the west coast of Norway - these waters has served numerous ships as lay up places. Last year the Galleon was laied up on the south east coast (Holmestrand). Charterer Suez has terminated the contract and Hoegh lng has now sold the vessel, and it is reported that the vessel is available for employment until delivery to her new owners in october. Hoegh has not reported a lay up, but I guess this is a lay up situation. Anyone out there who knows anything about this?
Regards/ Tore

Well, as far as I know the Hoegh Galleon will be a mothership for the LNG/c "Pioneer Knutsen". The "PK" will lift off more than 22-23(!) cargoes and distribute in to GASNOR's coastal distribution chain in Norway.

The last I heard was that the Hoegh Galleon will be alongside in M

I used to work on the "Pioneer Knutsen", which by the way is a marvellous little ship in all aspects.

There are some delays in the completion of GASNOR's "train 2" at Kollsnes outside Bergen.

It certainly seems like the "Galleon" will have some quiet weeks in M

On the 7th of June Hoegh Galleon was at Maloy,It looked as if she was laid up as she was on a dissused berth. As we arrived Pioneer Knutsen went alongside her and began to disharge LNG into her tanks.
