Today NieuwsbladTransport reports that it could take weeks to get the Rokia Delmas afloat. Divers discovered a crack in the hull of 20m lenght. At this time there is still 560 tons fuel on board the Rokia Delmas. First they gonna pump the fuel out of the ship.

Hi All,

Have anyone more information about what happens with Rokia Delmas?
On Equasis is her status dead (last update 2006-12-11)
Is this ship Broken Up or will she be repaired?

Regards,
Freger65 :-D

Vessel has been declared a constructive total loss. Wreck removal an cargo recovery operation is delayed due to weather condidions and shortage of adequate equipment. It has been said that accomodation could be scrapped on site to allow refloating the vessel. The hull is suffering from extreme stress and may collapse shortly. It is very seldom that ships can be saved after being driven ashore on the Atlantic French shore line during winter time.
