Jif Breizh
« on: January 07, 2015, 10:36:27 AM »
Hello,

I made a picture of utility vessel Jif Breizh.
see
http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=2168941

The layout of the vessel is comply different than other picture on the site.
Did the vessel under gone a major refit/remake? or is it a different vessel with the same name???

Note: IMO found via equasis.org and Grosstonnage.com

regards
Frans Sanderse

Hello @Frans
You find many different photos on Marinetraffic for comparisation.
All what I can see is, the utily vessel was extended by a midbody section for more crew accomodation.

Good evening,

The lengthening of this vessel by approx 13m was recently done by Neptune shipyards (Hardinxveld-giessend., NL). Sea trials completed just before Xmas ... She is now enroute to Congo Pointe Noire. See attachments.

For your information Breizh is a word in Breton language which means Bretagne...

I noticed that JIFMAR is also getting a newbuild from Neptune in January 2015 called ROXANE Z. I don't have any idea (yet) about yardnumber or IMO number of this one.
