The Dana Serena when travelling Comodore delux is one of the best seagoing experiences from a British Port. The staff are very attentive and the cabins spacious. The free bar with snacks is enough. Don't allow anyone else into the area though - since the drinks are free the freeloaders are about and if you see anyone that should not be there call the steward soonest. They will try.
The evening meal in the self service restaurant was not the best, but the breakfast in the Comodore lounge was great. Enjoy your free bottle of champagne and enjoy the pasage. Keep looking at the big screen in the lounge with the satnav on. Great to see exactly where you are all the time.
Careful when pouring your own beer at the self service bar - it is typically continentally frothy!
Enjoy your trip, it will probably be the last of the DFDS regular routes soon.
