Due to heavy storm in Black Sea, the Cambodia-flagged dry freigther VERA has taken on water and sank 1 mile off the coast of Zonguldak city on January 31th at around 19:30 (local time). 3 crew members were rescued and were taken to the hospital.The coast guards are still searching the 8 missing crew members...
The ship was sailing from Rostov-on-Don, Russia to Aliaga, Turkey.

The ship was unloaded and had a crew of 9 Bulgarians.

So far, the Captain refused any assistance and evacuation of crew., according to Turkish maritime news portal www.denizhaber.com .
