Yeah, if only putting a day on shipping movements was that easy.
Some days shipping movements can be dead, huge hourly gaps between ships leaving/arriving.
Others are filled with ships leaving and arriving.
Well to be ohnest there is never a day that is good for shipping.
Its all to do with tides. When the tide is high, you will expect to sea larger vessels such as ones going into the ore terminal or the chemical jetty.
On low tide is usally when all the smaller coasters and gas liners sailing in and out.
It is only on extremely rare occasions when tankers are seen leaving port on low tide, tees port is not deep at all when the tide is low. But overall there no particular day of shipping movements, its all down to natures sea.
hope this helped.

(heres a tip), if you are looking for super tankers, on the teesport website, if you look at the ships and across to where its going to and coming from, on one of them it will say the jetty. If any ships are leaving the following docks they will be supertankers or special purpose ships (maersk fleet.)
Heavy Lift Quay (TCP)
Cleveland Potash Terminal
Simon Storage No. 2 Jetty
1-4 of the Phillips jettys.
Ore Terminal
You can usally see the large tankers down the gare docked at the enterance opposite the collosal harbour cranes.
The one with the cranes opposite is the ore/coal terminal.
The one across from that are the 3 chemical jettys.
What i tend to do is look up the ships name on google images to see if it worth the trip.
I will also be down the gare, im up there practilly every day!
