For sites such as shipspotting.com / 7seasvessels.com/ faktaomfartyg.se and lastly grosstonnage (there was a trouble with Lloyds i think) we have to build a  webfunding for their existence.
We are let's say 20.000 shipspotters from all the world ..if everyone was giving 10-20 euros per year there will not be any problems  to be safely  online... This is not only our fun... it helps all of us who are involved in shipping business manytimes .

I don't think that it will be a good idea to pay 1.500 $ or Euro to buy cds (and not books) or licenses in order to have data... We live in the web era and not in the pay-to-have era

According to this (https://www.fleetmon.com/maritime-news/2016/15123/mustafa-kan-didnt-sink-capsized-vessel-taken-tow/), finally she didnot sink ...just capsized (upside-down position) and a greek Tug tows her.
In the meantime  understanding the tug and monitoring it at AIS,she goes 11 knots(!!!)

I think that if you can't stop the sharing  of photos ,it would be a good idea , or even if you stop the "sharing option" to show us the sources of where they took the likes, apart from facebook...

Just from curiosity   ;D

Amongst these is 12. Multiple photos: When posting multiple photos of the same vessel taken on the same Date, the submission must be restricted to a maximum of 4 photographs with a significant change of Aspect/Angle between the photographs.

This has to change because many members post 3 photos of the same vessel either the angle is same or some metres (neither 0,2 miles away) so as their 3 photos be shown always and get more views... Not only Greeks but also from other countries.

This is why I have stopped a long time ago to post photos... I have told it to them face to face but it seems they don't understand it.. So I write it also in public so they will understand at the end.

You are welcome mr Brett. Myself , i was a big fan of Arcadia, sailing her many times as a child :D

She was in Lauro fleet for only one year. Italians have chartered the vessel from the Greek (unfo late) owner who was a very good friend of ours.

In following picture taken by my father , you can see hear departing from Piraeus in order to star her charter  . http://imgur.com/8dWlGUm

As most of you may have seen all this time I am a member of shipspotting  (the last four years i think) I've tried to do a videos collection from almost all ships that arrive and depart from the main port of Piraeus(ferry and cruise port )plus some (especially the most important) which arrive at the commercial port of Piraeus in New Ikonio area, where Container and Car Terminals are. Also not many, but enough to take an idea for what is coming, I have filmed some motor yachts coming in Piraeus Marinas or in main Port.

It was October or November of 2011 when I started the "creation" of this file,I post also here you below the videos, divided per categories of ships for anyone who is interested and has the time to watch them. I have shortenened the links via bitly.com
