OceanCraft, I was in two minds on doing the Canberra however I think I might attempt her. The drawing of Canberra on the page you linked is exactly what I am looking for at the moment.

You can try the Steamship Historical Society of America (SSHSA) and look in the "Image Porthole".  There they have a lot of old ship photos.

Just like to know if anyone can tell me how high was QE2 from the waterline to the tip of her funnel and if they could include the height of her funnel? Also I wish to know if anyone has any updated news on her. I know she has been moved to Port Rashid to make more room in Drydocks World. She was also washed recently but I wsih to know if she is up for sale and if there is any recent news on the project of returning her to Greenock?

Hello Tomas,

            I wish to draw to your attention that the article you posted is dated December 24th 2012. Since then that deal was cancelled and she was due to head to China to beccome a 500 room floating hotel under the Oceanic Group. Since then QE2 has sat in the Drydocks area of Dubai gathering dust and mould. Her generators were turned off  in 2013 and her shore-provided power soon enough afterwards. This does not look good on QE2, an icon of british shipbuilding however it is believed Dubai only bought her out of greed. No activity has been  reported seeing QE2 leave anytime soon however the contract Dubai have on her lasts until 2018!!!!!!!!

Magellan is currently Grand Holiday operated by the spanish branch of Costa (Ibero Cruceros) later this month Ibero send her sister Grand Celebration to Costa as they did with the former Grnd Voyager and Grand Mistral. Ibero are due to be devoured into Costa and there berths inBarcelona will be offered to the Costa Diadema this year and it is for this reason that their sole surviving ship Grand Holiday (ex- Holiday(Carnival)was sold to Cruise and Maritime
