The fishing trawler NOVA TIA CINTA (IMO 8734803) caught fire this Tuesday 27/02/2024 at 13.49 hours off the coast of Castellón (ESP), sinking at 15.26 hours after its 5 crew members were rescued 4 miles SSE of the mouth of the port of Castellón.
According to information from Salvamento Marítimo, the five fishermen were thrown into the sea in a life raft and taken in a boat to the port, where they were treated for smoke inhalation.

Bulkcarrier Doxa, IMO 8029167, is on fire at Villagarcia de Arosa, Spain.
The ship is at anchor at Ria de Arosa, the fire start in the bridge at 0300 GMT.
Rescue vessels Maria Pita and Salvamar Sargadelos in zone.
21 crews save, 1 crew losed.

The port bunkering barge SAVINOSA sunk this morning at 04:45 GMT 09/09/2008, at Reus dock in Port of Tarragona, Spain.
The bunker barge ex CAMPIZ DOS with capacity of 800 TM of fueloil and 300 m3 of gasoil, carry on 350 TM of fueloil and full of gasoil.

Shipping News and information / Egipcian general cargo AL ZAHRAA run aground in Ceuta

The general cargo ship Al Zahraa has aground in the evening of 16/11/2007 over the shoal of Santa Catalina,
when approaching to Ceuta port for taking bunker. The cargo on board is steel coils.
She has two forward double bottom tanks of fuel broken, but the fuel doesn't overflow outside, stand over
the water that entered inside of the tanks.
The owners of Al Zahraa, Federal Arab Maritime Company, has made a contract with Svitzer Wijsmuller for refloating the ship.

The Ro-Ro "Don Pedro" sunk when leaving from Ibiza Port, near  to the entrance, today 11/07/2007 at 03:00 GMT.
All crew and passenger (20) rescue save by "Clara Campoamor".

The Panamanian flagged general cargo vessel SUNSHINE is sunk, she was on route from Trapani in Sicily
to Port Said in Egypt with a cargo of marble. The master reported that the ship sank at 5pm in high seas on Sunday.
The ship rolled 90 degrees and within 10 minutes it had sunk with all crew surviving. The master of the Turkish ship
said they ran out of provisions yesterday.
The warship HMS MONTROSE yesterday rescued 11 Turkish seamen who were found drifting helplessly in two small boats
after their ship sank beneath them two days ago.

Shipping News and information / Reefer SIERRA NAVA grounding in Algeciras Bay.

Due to the strongs easterly winds, the ship Sierra Nava, anchored in ballast, since 7th of january in the Algeciras Bay, dredging and grounding at the San Garcia Point, this morning at 12:05 hours.
The 14 of crew has been rescue by helicopter of Salvamento Maritimo "Helimer Andalucia".
