The truth is that it is very likely, I also saw them as a type of warship.

You say this:

Polnocny class landing ship.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polnocny-class_landing_ship
https://russianships.info/eng/warships/project_770.htm

In the Russian page it says:

Yemen: 3 units
Project 770MA (of USSR Baltic Fleet): Al Vadia 136 in 08.1973, Sira 137 (until 07.1977 SDk-32), №138 in 08.1973, sunk 01.1986 (ex- SDK-44, 45). In №137, 138 1x2 30 mm AK-230 was replaced by 1x2 25 mm 2M-3M, fire control system MR-104 Rys was removed.

Very interesting I will investigate!

Thanks mate for replying.

best regards

Hello Mafioso,
On this link https://trilikemk.live/product_details/23297421.html , she is clearly a tug.
Was she towing the ferry ? Or trying to refloat her ? Mystery ...

Not that the AL BASMALLAH I, aground not far in the North, has also a small ship nearby. Not easy to say the type (perhaps tuna fishing with skiff ?).
What were doing these ships in so narrow and shallow waters ? Puzzle.

Regards,
Yvon

A short walk from the station gets you to near the transporter bridge with a small viewing area - you won't see much probably except SMS tugs and some harbour craft, although cargo ships do occasionally pass by.

A little further walk towards the Riverside stadium can also get you some ships in the former entrance to Middlesbrough dock. Highlighted areas on attached

Hello Mafioso,
On GE, the L x B are around 74m x 9 m, with a long hold.
I wonder these two hulls could be ex Soviet naval ships 'Polnochniy' class, group A.
USSR had some naval bases in the area (Hanish anchorage, Socotra) so it could be two decommisioned naval ships.
Just my opinion, to be confirmed !

Yvon

csaba, there haven't been any reports of upload problems apart from you. Yesterday I deleted one set of duplicates but that's it. Are you still experiencing issues?
