Well looking for ALFA CEMENTA - IMO 5094678 in Gizan, Saudi Arabia.

This is the ship:

Here is your publication:

https://www.shipspotting.com/photos/992616?navList=gallery&imo=5094678&page=1&viewType=normal&sortBy=newest

Using Google Earth I come across this:

Google Earth image from 2004:

Here you can see an old freighter

Google Earth image from 2005:

The old cargo ship being scrapped

Google Earth image from the year 2010:

The old freighter has been scrapped, it no longer exists.

Location: 16°54'04.1"N 42°32'13.8"E

To see the ship you have to use GOOGLE EARTH.

Could it be that it is the ship ALPHA CEMENTA or what ship is it?

Greetings friends!.

Help and Advice / Urgent help needed
« Last post by dirk septer on Today at 02:53:46 AM »
Though since 2012 I have successfully uploaded 11,000+ photographs, I urgently need some help solving the problem that has arisen with two Photo Editors, who gave me the following notice yesterday:

"If you do not yourself delete your recent low quality uploads within five days, the following will happen:

- Your ShipSpotting.com membership will be terminated
- Your photos on the site will be deleted by IT in one go

Any further upload of low quality photos will lead to the same."

I take their message quite seriously and need urgent help not to lose all my 11,000+ posted photos.

I'm a luddite old geezer obviously living under a rock (never had a tv, and live quite a rewarding life without a cell/smart phone.

I do take many thousands of photos each year, but don't seem to be able to produce them to an quality level acceptable to some of the Shipspotting photo editors.

Any help and advice appreciated.

Regarding the STARLET, it makes sense when paired with this salvage operation summary from the website of Five Oceans Salvage:

"LOF dd 31/07/2015

M/V “STARLET”
Chemical tanker STARLET (10,048 dwt, built 2003), in ballast, suffered water ingress in her engine room whilst at anchor in the inner anchorage of Hodeidah, Yemen. A Lloyd’s Open Form was signed between Five Oceans Salvage and Owners on 31st July 2015 and Scopic was invoked. Salvage tug IONIAN SEA FOS (10,560BHP, 102BP), fully equipped with salvage, patching and antipollution equipment was engaged to assist together with a salvage team of eight persons and five armed guards to ensure the safety of the tug and crew while inside the Yemeni warzone. The personnel embarked in Djibouti since air transportation to Yemen was not an option due the state’s war situation. In the course of the following two months, the tug and salvage team successfully obtained permission to work onboard the casualty and prepare her for the onward towage out of Yemen. Due to the escalating war situation in Yemen, the tug and crew was forced to leave Yemeni territorial waters and the operation was suspended."

We continue with the sunken ships in the Red Sea.

Now we are located in Abu Shawk, Arabia Saudita.

Google Earth image of the year 2003

I mark with a red arrow the ship I am interested in, it seems to be a tugboat.
