Trip reports / Ship spotting in Hong Kong

I'm in Hong Kong this week have next Sunday and Monday available for shipspotting any locals that can suggest either harbour tours or locations that I can get to from by taxi or public transport. Much appreciated. Richard.

Shipping News and information / Oil tanker on fire in Nigerian Port

Reuters is reporting that an oil tanker caught on fire at Port Harcourt following two explosions.

The tanker was apparently berthed in a general cargo port and Nigerian exports aren't affected.

Trip reports / Anyone for a photography trip to Singapore

As many shipspotters are aware the Thames Ship Society does a number of ship photography tours each year (I try and join with them when they do Far East trips every second year).  

I am looking at the possibility of doing something similar from Australia in the first half of 2008 - getting together a group to help reduce costs and spending a week in and around Singapore. If there is sufficient interest I am prepared to do the organising.
