Help and Advice / Re: what about spotting on the Suez Canal ?...
« on: August 22, 2010, 09:32:01 PM »
Dear polsteam,
I was many times on the suezchanal for spotting. It is definetely the best place for shipspotting in the world a lot of large vessels comes in a short time but it is also a dangerous place. you are secure with your eqiipment not problem for you. there is a lot of police and secure police around and these people are not very friendliy.  .On christmas 2008 I was one day in prison by the police because I took photos at suez channel in Ismaeliya. If you want to go there please send me a pm I will write you then some interesting details

Hi steve,
I think we meet us in June in Hamburg and in July in Antwerp!!!
For Antwerp I think the normal programm harbour cruise(this time not only the MSC museum please the whole area and Scheldecruise.) Now we have time!!
A boat trip to Ternezeun would be o.k.but I think for the most of us too expensive.
I think it is a very good idea to meet together at this time. I will come and I know now my camera!!
greetings

Hi Sevo,
yes you did a nearly perfect job. 50D is great. Please try Sigma 50-500mm first before you buy the 100-400mm.
Always good shots

Hi all Kiwis,

last week I stayed in Shanghai and eat in the hotel butter from New Zealand. Some days later I made at home a barbeque for my friends we eat lamb from N.Z.
That's globalization in the world and no one can stop it
Greetings from Germany
