Hi!

It appears that this vessel has been renamed NECON 1 and is under conversion to a Heavy Load Carrier, semi submersible vessel by Concordia Shipbuilding BV.
More details here : http://www.necon-hmt.com/#

Merry Chistmas!

Hi there!

I checked but apparently official informations are not available on the web (too recent transaction, I think so) but... We can suppose, if the new name is Leo Trio, that the new Owner is TOKEI KAIUN KK with its subsidiary LEO OCEAN S.A.
Let's see in the coming days when datas will be updated.

Ron.

Good evening,

The lengthening of this vessel by approx 13m was recently done by Neptune shipyards (Hardinxveld-giessend., NL). Sea trials completed just before Xmas ... She is now enroute to Congo Pointe Noire. See attachments.

For your information Breizh is a word in Breton language which means Bretagne...

Shipping News and information / Re: Identifying ship
« on: November 13, 2014, 10:18:14 PM »
Hi there!

It's very hard with such small pictures and without other details. There is a famous bunkering company called Aegean Marine Petroleum with blue ships, so you can eventually try to compare with their fleet if your photo is more or less recent http://www.ampni.com/el/index.php?about=11
One interesting detail may help you, here the Freefall lifeboat is on Starboard side which is unusual.

Good luck to all for identifying this vessel!

The new cable layer ship Pierre De Fermat, owned by Orange, made its maiden voyage from the Vard/Fincantieri Shipyard (Norway) to Brest (France) with an expected arrival on the 28th of October. It looks nice!

STENA POSEIDON (IMO: 9334698) is currently at DAMEN SHIPREPAIR BREST in order to be renamed ESPADA DESGAGNES.
This vessel was sold by the joint venture "Concordia Maritime" / "Neste Oil" to "Transport Maritime St-Laurent Inc".
The ESPADA DESGAGNE will sail as a "shuttle" between Montreal and the Valero refinery in Levis (near Quebec city).

To be ready for a new life, the following things will be removed :
-Polar bears on the hull  :( ,
-"Ice" and "Stena bulk" marks on the hull,
-Logos on both funnels,
-The bow logo on the hull,
-The coloured band on superstructures,
-The bear on STBD side aft funnel casing  :( .

No idea Mike, sorry! But I think that you can send an e-mail at [email protected] to know exactly what it will happen for the users who transmit datas (e-mail found in the terms of use).

Yes I agree with you Sinisa about free access for people who transmit their AIS datas. I'm disapointed, I made at least one connexion per day on this website!
As Fergal said, tariff for the full package is so expensive!

Hello guys!

As you can see in the following link, the website marinetraffic.com will change its interface soonest with more ads, some tariffs following subscribed services, no possibility to put the map on full screen mode, no automatic refresh of the map if you are not registered...etc

http://new.marinetraffic.com/en/p/plans

Nothing is free in this world!

Bad news...  >:(

This is a nice vessel, for sure! But 3300 new deliveries in 2013 is a very crazy quantity  :o !!!
In reality, 3300 is the name of this PSV series, in total DAMEN will deliver 4 new vessels of this serie in 2013  ;D

Have a nice day,

Shipping News and information / STENA VOYAGER sold for scrap
« on: May 18, 2013, 12:37:25 PM »
Hello guys!

The Stena Voyager, which operated on Belfast - Stranraer (Scotland) route on behalf of the Swedish company Stena Line, will join the Swedish scrapyard in Landskrona where she will be demolished.

Built in 1996 by Finnyards Rauma in Finland, Stena Voyager was part of a series of three HSS 1500, considered the largest high-speed vessels in the world. 126.60 meters long with a deadweight of 19,638 tonnes, she could board 1500 passengers, 50 trucks and 100 cars.

With its four General Electric gas turbines developing a total output of 106,000 hp, the Stena Voyager was spinning merrily 40 knots. A speed that, because of oil prices, was fatal.

The sole survivor of the trio is the Stena Explorer, always online between the United Kingdom and Ireland. The third, the Stena Discovery is disarmed for 2 years.

Have a nice day!

Ron
