Help and Advice / Re: Miramar Subscriptions

Hi Bob, Cant see it being updated somehow, may be I should buy a disc, for historical info. and cut my losses.    Its hard enough keeping Ocean Fleets updated (New ed. due this year) so to keep Miramar updated would take several prople fulltime.

I bought the disk. It took many many months to come but is most useful. I can even update ship details. In the meantime I have let my subscription go and will not renew unless at some future date the database is updated again.

What is going on with Miramar.  I renewed my subscription a couple of months ago,  worked ok for a while, then I was logged out and message saying subscription needs renewing,   Can get no reply from e-mail, and it seems I have thrown £20 down the drain.  Does anyonw know how to get any sense out of them.   They simply can not keep taking money for nothing.

Thanks Pieter. I'll renew and see what happens. Miramar is a treasure house of factual maritime information.

And for my penny's worth, I'm with Pieter, Patrick and Bob. Very difficult, if not impossible to admin.

This has been mentioned now and then in the past and I am in favour of it. As for artist as an admin, well, some of us are artistically inclined so why not ask who would volunteer. I would be part of it. But we certainly need to agree on some rules as art is subjective and one person's art is another person's trash.
Just my two Canadian cents  :)

we would then need an artist as adminsitrator, not a photographer...

Hi Peter

I ordered a disc last year, still haven't received it, but I have heard of people who did receive one. It seems to be a matter of patience. Therefore I renewed my subscription until May 2025, just to keep the cash-flow going for them.
