saga cruises and orion
« on: July 04, 2011, 06:53:20 PM »
just found out SAGA CRUISES are purchasing the CROISIER DE FRANE's "BLEU DE FRANCE" to become their "SAGA SAPPHIRE" in March 2012 with this they are transferring "SAGA PEARL 2" to become "QUEST OF ADVENTURE" they don't know what to do with the "SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE" and they are going to SCRAP the "SAGA RUBY"  >:( :'(.Also does anyone have any pics of the "SAGA ROSE" being scrapped or the "ORION" cruise ship.

Are you talking about the Orion as in the Expedition Cruise ship based in Australia?

Re Saga Ruby.

May I ask where your information about her scrapping comes from?

She is upgraded to meet SOLAS 2010 and therefore will continue in service beyond 2010.

Sources indicate she will continue 'til 2014 at least

She's due for Devonport, Tasmania on 12/03/2013 so she won't go for a while yet. :)
