SUNLINK - new ferry line between Frederikshavn and Oslo
« on: June 15, 2010, 08:38:58 AM »
Sunlink Ferries will soon launch a new service between Frederikshavn and Oslo. The company claims it has purchased the Panamanian flagged ferry Arberia, capable of carrying 1,300 passengers in 737 cabins. The ferry was built by Dubigeon in Nantes as Bore Star and up until a year ago sailed under the name of Wasa Queen. The ferry has been operating in the Adriatic Sea in the last couple of years.
The Danish citizen Ernst Munk owns Sunlink Ferries. The company is registered in Herning. Sunlink Ferries has already contacted several travel agencies, offering low-cost crossings to Norway in direct competition with Stena Line. In Frederikshavn, a complete ferry terminal is available after Colour Line closed down its service two years ago.

Would be nice to see this competition. Maybe they(you) do the night crossing from danmark to norway to get more passengers.
