Well, to be honest, don't like the kind of "table" or extending in front of the bow, ugly. for the rest looks nice..

The "table" is a neccessary feature, as there are no ramps. The linkspan rests on the cowcatcher (as its called) and then the internal ramp rests on top of that. If you look at the stern there is no stern door.

A full spread of images is available here (very nice website)

@Norfolklin;
Well, I never said there is a problem.. For me no problem that this vessel has this extending in front of the bow. Ofcourse I understand that it's overthere for a particalur purpose. Be glad that I say honest that I don't like that 'table' in front, that's my opinion, I think better then saying "Oh yes, beuatifull" because the rest is saying that also.. I like to say my opinion, and I hope that everyone is doing that overhere. And again (pls. read carefully my last post) generaly I like the vessel, design, colours etc.. looks nice. But for me, I like clean, and "traditional" shaped bows..  :-)

Regards,
Jeroen, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

I got the first picture (that i know of) thats posted onto ship spotting of this vessel today.

She is undergoing sea trials and 2 more of the same vessel and color will replace the old ones at Dover. Radios intercoms and so on were being tested today but no movement of the vessel as of yet.

She had docking problems in Dover, the doors are too high above the linkspans at high tide at the NFL berths, the gradients are too steep for loading and discharge.

She will have to use P&Os berths for now (the new 8&9)

She was likely to use that side anyway,shes just docked over at the Western for testing and things.

She will most likely operate where the older norfolk line are
