Couple of questions / site slow

I have the same problems about the slowness of the site, starting with the log in, the following always appears on the screen

"Unable to login, please try again later"

After several attempts I manage to enter the site, but here comes the other problem which consists of the excessive delay in opening either a photo to see its content or uploading a photo, it is really extremely slow, I hope this situation can be resolved as soon as possible.

Hi, Patrick similar experience here, and IT is still having trouble to find the root of the evil, but they have put more people on the case.

As has been mentioned, the number of photos on the site counter isn't changing - may also be a pointer to the issue?

Today things seem more like old times, a lot faster, but this is then countered by the unusual view counter, many of the photos uploaded in the last hour are showing views of over 200 !! Is this a true situation or is IT at work?
Much confused as to the true state of the site!!

Just uploaded a shot without any delays. I think we have to accept the erratic behaviour of the site, but IT confirms that they are still working on it. Someday it should be over....

Thank you, it would appear that a fix has worked. The speed of operation is , and has been, excellent all day. Again thanks to all involved in reinstating the service.

It is a bit like a period of bad weather, we complain on all daily basis, but we have the certainty that it will be over sooner or later.
