After a week of very unsettled weather, the Port of Felixstowe was preparing for one of their busiest days with 6 ultra large container ships were either departing or arriving. The plan was 3 out and 3 in, including a maiden voyage.

To kick the day off was the Thalassa Mana which departed Trinity 7 with a draught of 11 metres for Hamburg. Two 3212 tugs Svitzer Deben aft and Svitzer Kent forward pulled her clear of the berth . Once off the berth, both tugs were released.
Svitzer Kent and Svitzer Sky heads to Berth 8 where the heavily laden CSCL Arctic Ocean was waiting for the services to depart for Singapore with a draught of 15.3 metres. Sky is released from forward and repositions on the port quarter for a push while the Kent moves out on to the starboard side at full line load for a powered indirect to escort the Arctic Ocean around the 90
