As has been stated Carmel (IMO 7106891) 1971/199 has been sailing on a regular daily basis, loading aggregate from the ARC terminal in the canal and discharging it at Kendalls wharf, in Shoreham Port. (She is now appearing and being logged on AIS). This cuts down on the number of lorry journeys by road undertaking a similar journey, thus reducing emissions and fuel costs. Indeed some 26 lorry journeys were quoted at the Port AGM last week on Tuesday 7 July 2015.
