I worked my way across the Atlantic in November 1966, Montreal to Avonmouth, on a freighter called the SS Sunclipper. I was so pleased today to find a good picture of it, but I almost fell off my chair when I saw the date of the picture and realized I was on the ship when the picture was taken.

I reckon that's me, almost 50 years ago. I couldn't WAIT to get back on solid ground, and at this point there was still a whole dramatic scene to come.
