Thailand Shipspotting help please?

Going to Thailand in May. Looking to visit Sattahip, Laem Chabang and Bangkok. Are there any recognised viewing areas, good places for photography. Its my first time there and dont really want to get in trouble. Any tips, advice, agencies where I could get permissions, would be greatfully received. Any info atall.
