Photo Capture Date

An observation while posting today:

After posting a couple of photos from the early 60s I notice the photo capture date doesn't show against the photo, even after entering it a second time. Later dated photos are no problem.
Perhaps the site software doesn't like earlier dates?

Hi,

I asked this question some time ago, can't remember the exact answer but it had something to do with the software not being able to work with any date pre 1970 added to the date taken field.
I can't find that post at the moment but if I remember correctly, there was not a solution at that time.

Could it be that the date is saved as Unix time, which began on 1st of January, 1970?
