Spotting at Liverpool

Hi, I am new to ship spotting and wondered if anyone can advise me on where to stand to video arrivals and departures at Liverpool,not on private ground of course.Thanks in advance.Ted

Marine promenade at New Brighton would get most ships that pass by, but could be distant views. Along the front at Seacombe, Birkenhead or the Pier head at Liverpool for upriver shipping. Eastham Woods country park for ships very close in and out from the Manchester ship canal.

Unfortunately I don't know of anywhere on the Liverpool side where you could get the Liverpool dock traffic that is public access.
