« on: July 28, 2010, 07:43:14 PM »
Hi Friends,
Time to go for another great bulker - The oldie "Grace N" was sold for scrap at India this days. The OptimaShipbrokers are a sure source, unfortunately .....

Who's next ?! We'll wait and see ...

What a pity!

In June 2008 I had the great opportunity to see her and her sister Constance N meeting on the river Elbe at Hamburg. (That was five months before Constance made her final voyage to Bangladesh, I believe). A really fascinating moment to see these two giants together.

Hi Jens,

a pitty, you're right ! That's a great shoot, really cool. "Constance N" was laid up for several month at HH because some deficients, I'm right ? I've seen "Grace N" also as "Elbe Ore" on river Elbe. One of the most wonderful bulker ever photographed.
Guckst Du hier ;-)

Hello Max,

excellent pics you have there of her as Elbe Ore. (I began to take photos in 2006 so no chance for me...)

You're right she spent quite some time at Hamburg in 2007, but I can't remember how long. Indeed, I took my first photo of her when she was in lay-up here.

I just had a look concerning "Constance N" at HH. 21 (!!) deficiencies were detected but a detention was not spoken out.
