Which IMO is correct for ship called Aztec?
« on: March 03, 2010, 10:17:21 PM »
Hmmm... which Aztec photo is which? And which IMO number is correctly attached to the correct ship?

There is an Aztec that used to be part of the TEN fleet of ships but I just posted a ship with blue and white bordered stack icon of

.  I am unable to locate a sale of Aztec from TEN to another shipping line with

icon.  Anyone know the answer to this mystery? :-?

Is it a " P"  or an " F". It was sold to Flota Petrolera Ecuatoriana (Flopec) 24.10.2006 according to Equasis. Flopec have it registered under Pegasus Oil Shipping Inc

Hi oldkayaker,  Perhaps I can help with this there were two AZTEC's completed for TEN the first in 2001 (IMO NO.9221657) was sold in that year to the Latvian Shipping Co. & renamed RIGA still sailing for them.  The second AZTEC (Your photo) completed in 2003 for TEN
(IMO No.9265354) sold in 2006 retaining her name to Pegasus Oil Shipping Inc. Panama (FLOPEC Managers)) hence the "P" on her funnel.

Thanks Ian and NDR for your help in resolving this mystery.  I think the Pegasus Oil Shipping Inc resolution is the current situation for the ship I just spotted.
