Hansa Stavanger (IMO. 9128465) is currently on her way to Mombasa, Kenya, where she is due to arrive on Thursday.
She was captured by pirates four months ago at the beginning of April.
Her owners, Leonhardt & Blumberg at Hamburg, Germany, have reportedly paid a ransom of $ 2.7 Mio. (about

Very good news!

After reading some previous news articles I thought this would result in a complete disaster! (As far as you don't call this a disaster).

Hopefully crew will get some well deserved help and rest.

Hello Michael,

that's what I thought, too. Four months of negotiating a ransom for crew and ship is an unbelievable amount of time.
At least those pirates got patience...

Thank God no one has come to harm (at least physically)!

The release of the vessel is a great news for the crew and her families ashore,but for nobody else.It could happen earlier and i will wonder ,what the company will do for the sailors......
