I agree with you completely, Phil. There is no need to be careful on what you report here, unless it is information that is confidential by law or contract with one's employer. The media will report what it wants, and noone here can be held liable or be blamed for simply reporting facts, impressions, rumours or thoughts.

How do I get to view thread pages 4 to 24?

On other topics there's a list of replies to the original post. But not here it seems.

Thanks,

Steve Thomas.

Wallenius Wilhelmsen have started laying up vessels in Norway. It's a popular country for vessel lay-ups due to the protection of the fjords, and the low water temperature which limits marine growth.

Toba and Tapiola arrived this week, and at least three more are on their way:

Tomas, do you try to tell that there are no ships laid up at Larvik ? Sorry your message is not easy to understand.

Here though, a few laid up containerships at Hamburg can be seen:

Hi FWE

The K Line vessels are not strictly laid up, The reason for Eastern, Western and Southern Highways sitting idle at the Nab Anchorages is that K-Line are about to cease their North Atlantic Shuttle Service on which these vessels were employed. Southern Highway completed her final rotation
and Western Highway makes the final rotation for now of this service, beginning Bremerhaven 24th March, calling Southampton 27th March and finishing back in Bremerhaven on 22nd April.

Info. gleaned from Solent Waters website shipping news.

Autoprogress sailed for Le Havre at 17:44hrs 12 March after calls at 105 and 31 berths.

Looks like another VLCC bound for The Deep Sea Anchorage in Lyme Bay for  floating storage..maybe?......'ALMIZAN STAR' IMO..9384215 Due 2230 13/03/09....AIS Destination showing Brixham so on the other hand she may be just picking up the Deep Sea Pilot there and then re-adjusting her destination to Rotterdam?.....(Now adjusted ETA for Brixham as 0100.. 14/03/09)
UPDATE....Vessel boarded Deep Sea Pilot Off Brixham at 2359 local..and proceeding East...still showing Brixham but no doubt bound to R'Dam.

Car carrier AUTOPRESTIGE IMO 9190157 Loa 129 m is in Falmouth Bay with AIS showing destination as "Lay-up", but port shows moving from Bay to Sea on 24/03/09 ?

Are there any movements out of lay-up down there from the arrested ships etc laid up in the River Fal earlier perhaps now being sold to new owners for trading or scrapping ?
