Yes, The Adventure II is now in the River Fal, moored off Tolverne. Bit of a correction though, she was turned by the three Falmouth tugs in the deep water off Turnaware Bar, off Trelissick House - this is usual for any ship laying up facing down river. - She does look pretty good in the River Fal - Challenger II will look equally as nice I suspect. I hear there are two more ships next week.

Challenger II has now arrived in the River Fal, and berthed alongside fleetmate Adventure II.
In River Fal now, Windsor Castle, Autocarrier, Adventure II, Challenger II (all off Tolverne), Pietari Glory/Cliff/Bright, and Autoline (in King Harry Reach).

One more vessel, although she has been laid up for a LONG time  now is the currently unwanted HSS Stena Discovery, which is still in Belfast Harland and Wolfe Shipyards, been there now for several years.

It sad how many vessel are current;y laid up - this thread was started in December, and in the course of just one month we have managed to get 13 pages of laid up vessels.

Are we really sure that all the vessels mentioned in this thread are laid up because of the economic situation ??? I have always understood that HSS STENA DISCOVERY went from the Harwich run because it became very uneconomic to carry on, on that run !!! I shall be interested to hear what others think !!

I believe you are indeed right, the Stena Discovery is laid up because the fuel costs were to expensive to keep her running.

I just thought this thread was for keeping track on which vessels are laid up.

Southampton VTS is again showing the bulk carrier Eridge due 101 berth 10th Jan time TBA, she is currently still at anchor off Brixham

Also Lloyds list is reporting that the River Fal has had to turn away a request to lay up 7 vessels due to lack of space,

Hi Ferryman, yes - you are quite right to highlight the Stena Discovery. Whatever way you look at it, she is laid up, and that is what this thread is about.

The Elbia arrived in The Wash on the 24th December and has remained at anchor ever since, still displaying "For Orders"

I had a day out on the 28th December visiting the Thames & Medway, a couple of ships noted on that date are still in port firstly:-
Scot Ranger at Rochester arrived 23/12 and still in port.
Alstern at Rochester arrived frum Hull on the 30th Dec and is still in port.

Notived the Anette IMO7816135 is now moored on the buouys just astern of the Pipit and Teal which are at Dentons on the Thames, assume the Anette will go into lay up ?

Arklow Ranger at Tilbury - arrived 23/12 and is still in port.

Overseas.......

small coaster the Gerhein G arrived in Husum on 29-11 and is still in port.

Regards

The Eridge which was expected in Southampton has now sailed south from her anchorage in Lyme Bay - heading for Las Palmas. It would appear she went this afternoon.

Shame, would have liked to have seen her in Southampton!

Hi Krispen,              Yes saw her sail from my lounge window....Seems to have been an upturn in the 'Bulker' market as the 'NORD STEEL' SAILED ON 7TH JAN,FOR BRAZIL,' DAPHNE' ON 3RD JAN,FOR IJMUIDEN, 'RUTLAND' ON 2ND JAN FOR HAMPTON ROADS....                                  Only a couple left at the 'Deep Water' anchorage now.                             Cheers, Brian.

It seems there has been a change of plan with Eridge.
This morning (11 Jan), she is just south west of Estoril, heading in to Lisbon
