Hello Klaus,

I read about it on "Forum Schiff". Excellent side for German shiplovers communication. Some of our members also communicate on the side. There is also a picture of her. She's in real good shape. I often wonder why Bremerhaven or Bremen can't manage to preserve such an old good looking vessel. I remember the time when the owner of former Rickmers built stern trawler SEYDISFJORD (1966) made an offer to keep her as a museum ship in Bremerhaven. I think they only wanted 1 EURO. But the politicians refused and the vessel went to Aliaga to the breakers. Finally they bought the trawler GERA from East Germany. And this last German trawler is an attraction here in Bremerhaven!

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to our shipspotting friends and shiplovers.

All the best from Fischtown
Holger

hello Ilhan,

please allow following hint :
"Dede C." - launched as "Alcor" 1957 was not owned by the same company as ex-Bleichen (H.M.Gehrckens, Hamburg), but by Argo Reederei, Bremen, my old company.

Xmas greetings to Istanbul.
dead slow ahead !  :-)
best regards, Klaus

Hi @ all,

I heard and read it in the newspaper today: Old Lady was bought by "Stiftung-Maritim" in Hamburg for their harbour-szenario. The OLD LADY (former BLEICHEN) was one of a lot of sisters, which were built in my hometown Rendsburg in the 1950'ies for several german owners, for example H.M.G and ERNST RUSS. She was the last of this beauties. More information under:
