Fawley Tug Apex

Fawley Tug Apex, the most powerful in the Solent, has been in Amsterdam for the last few weeks. Given that Apex has often been utilized to assist the biggest of Tankers towards Fawley Terminal and therefore a vessel of significant importance, I wonder if anyone might know why she might be currently enjoying the hospitality of Amsterdam? Has she been transferred pending replacement or has she suffered some sort of mechanical problem? Suggestions and information most welcome, many thanks!

since 9 April she is at Damen Shiprepair Oranjewerf in Amsterdam, not likely because of a possible replacement.

Thank you Manfred, that makes more sense. Watching the Fawley tugs, they do seem to be going through a period of inactivity atm so perhaps this is the best time for maintenance to take place, even if you have to go all the way to Amsterdam for it to happen!

Svitzer are reported to have won the towage contract for the tug services at Fawley Refinery.
