The two ex-colleagues Vincent Clerc of Maersk and Søren Toft of MSC have announced the termination of the alliance in order to pursuit their individual business strategies. The alliance was agreed in 2015. Apparently the blue guys will go "green" and the black guys will continue
to boost capacity. The Maersk sale of the 1997 Lindø-built SOVEREIGN MAERSK of 8160 teu to MSC - according to TradeWinds - follows just a few days after the 2M-termination. In 1997 Sovereign M was the largest container vessel in the world. The new name will be MSC Domna X. Niels
