Trying to find live sailing times API for Scottish passenger ferries

Hi to the forum,
I'm hoping to add live ferry timtable and sailing updates to a Scottish Travel phone app I am writing.
Does anyone here know of any APIs for this information? - Calmac Ferries are UK Government owned, so I expect the information is available publicly.
Google maps and Marinetraffic.com obtain live Scottish Ferry information, so the data is out there.
I'm asking here because I've not been able to find any info in my searches or phone calls.

The Traveline National Dataset provides timetabled ferry sailings https://www.travelinedata.org.uk/traveline-open-data/traveline-national-dataset/ updated daily Monday to Thursday. Unlike for bus services there doesn't seem to be a live API for ferries, so that's what I imagine other apps use.
