Does Equasis require you to change password?

A message popped up that I need to change my Equasis password in order to prevent blocking my account. Is this a legit request? Why would they need me to change my password? I am always a bit wary of these request for immediate action as there are plenty of phishing scams out there.

• Previously, you were able to keep the same password as long as you wanted.
Now, you will be required to change periodically your password. If the change is not done in due
time, your account will be locked.
You will then be able to unlock yourself your account by using the Lost Password function: it will
send you a new email with a validation hyperlink and a temporary password.
• Previously, there was no specific constraint for the choose of your password, except its
length.
Now, you will have to respect a few requirements for the chose of a password:
- at least 8 characters long
- at least 1 lowercase, 1 uppercase, 1 digit and 1 special character

The problem I had ... my login was an old email account long superseded so they could not send me the Lost Password function. Remedy .. join again under new login set of details.

Thank you Chas. There seems to be some problem with them as the system constantly rejects my new password even if I have followed the instructions. Or it says that my e-mail is not valid or already in use.
I wonder if others have same/similar problem.
Any thoughts?

I had to renew my access yesterday and I had to activate my account before I could make the password change.

This was sent to my email and I had to click on that link and then I got a message that it was activated.

same problem. I renewed my account, but didn't even get this registration mail.
Now I even can't contact equasis. Always the same message.
Now I'll try to get a new password by using the "Lost password" button.
Hope this will work.

Additional info: Found the mail from equais in my spam folder.
Tried again to activate and now it works.

I had the same pop up on Saturday, went through the process and changed password with no problem.

Hmmmm, something is off here. I receive the links, receive the new temporary password but when enter it I still get the message that my e-mail and/or password are unknown.
Any thoughts?

I received a notice that my account have been activated but when I enter the password and e-mail it still says that I am unknown.

Lot of hassle but the password I put in didn't work so had to request a temporary password. When I received the email copied into Equasis and logged o,. Go back to email and activate account, had to activate with an additional email as well then all worked fine.
