Hello Denis. In an additional video Maersk´s chief designer mentioned that the crew comfort is an important objective in the new design. Somewhat strange. The X-bow vessel-design is extreme in this
respect as you mention. I have not seen any reports on this issue, however, it is clear that you need to have your cabin windows closed when you are on the high seas with the risk of running head on into a
rogue wave of some 30 meters! And then there is still Hapag-Lloyd´s München in 1978 where a rogue wave is believed to have smashed the windows of the bridge causing loss of power and steering control. Niels
