Sider Jasmine is joining the NPDL fleet and has been renamed Capitaine Kupe. She is due Auckland 20 November from Melbourne and will do one trip to Suva/Lautoka/Port Vila and Santo. She will then head to Asia for maintenance, before returning to NZ in 2022 to join the East Pacific trade route.

NPDL are using their own vessels for the peak season out of China rather than relying on the large container lines.

Capitaine Dampier V183S will load Shanghai 1 December for discharge in Brisbane/Port Kembla/Geelong and Auckland.

Capitaine Kupe V2S will load Shanghai 30 December for discharge in Auckland and Lyttelton.

Aldi Wave ex Cap Beaufort IMO 9341122 is being added to the Capricorn Service. She will be renamed MSC Aldi III before entering service.

Cape Mayor IMO 9360271 is also being added to the Capricorn service. She will be renamed MSC Cape III before entering service.

Also Sagitta will be renamed MSC Sagitta III.

MSC seem to be renaming alot of the vessels on the New Zealand schedules with III suffix.

When Capitaine Kupe returns from her refit in China, she will replace Southern Trader on the Tahiti run. There are no set changes for Southern Trader, although she will do a voyage in February to Noumea, Fiji and on to Tarawa. Unknown what schedule Capitaine Magellan will be on.

The replacement for Northern Guild is ALS Juno IMO 9431719. She appears to be only doing one voyage as Northern Guild is back on the schedule in May. Maybe she has been slotted in due to drydocking of the other vessel.

NPDL are swapping around vessels on their schedules.

Capitaine Kupe is replacing Southern Moana calling Auckland, Pago Pago and Apia. Nukualofa has been dropped from the schedule after January.

Southern Pearl is coming back to replace Capitaine Magellan on the Auckland, Fiji, Vanuatu schedule. Capitaine Magellan will sail out of Fiji.

Southern Moana is replacing Southern Trader on the Tahiti schedule. Southern Trader may be returning to her owners.

There does not appear to be a service to Tonga, so don't know what is happening there.

Tonga calls are being added to the Southern Moana's Tahiti schedule. Southern Moana will be replaced by the larger Capitaine Dampier in April.

Capitaine Magellan and Capitaine Wallis are heading to drydock in Asia. Southern Pearl and Southern Trader will share the Noumea and Vanuatu calls and Tauranga will be dropped from the schedule at present.
