Zim Lines are entering into the New Zealand trades in their own right.

Firstly is the GSL Africa IMO 9473626. She is calling Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Min City, Nansha, Yantian, Hong Kong, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Tauranga, Laem Chabang. I don't know if the NZ calls will be a regular or just for repositioning empty containers. She is berthing at the general cargo wharves in Auckland.

The second service is called "New Zealand to Australia (N2A)". The first vessel is Trinidad Trader IMO 9675808. She will be joined by a yet to be named vessel. The rotation wil be Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Tauranga, Melbourne. She will be using the general cargo Freyburg Wharf for this service and bypassing the container terminal.

The bunker tanker Awanuia has not worked since late 2020, and is still laid up at Captain Cook Wharf Auckland.
The bunker tanker Anatoma IMO 9557161 has arrived from Australia, and has been sailing in and out of Tauranga. She has now berthed in Auckland and is to be renamed "Korimako".
Does this mean she is replacing Awanuia, or is Tauranga getting their own bunker tanker?

The coastal container vessel Moana Chief will now add Marsden Point to the schedule calling fortnightly. To add this call Nelson will also become a fortnightly call. Calls into Lyttelton, Tauranga and Auckland will remain at weekly.

They said Auckland Port had a problem with berthage. I just looked on Marine Traffic and Tauranga has twelve vessels at anchor. Auckland at present has three.

The Awanuia looks to be back in service with her first bunkering job on Sunday- Nord Yilan
