Ambassador Cruises have confirmed that they have acquired this ship and that she will be named AMBITION.
A curious choice of name.

Do you have a source?

At this point, I have no hope that the remaining Fantasy class cruise ships are to sail again. They are the same age and have similar issues. I think the two vessels being retired are going to Aliaga. Last year, Carnival said they'll keep half of the Fantasy class, now it's 1/4. I wouldn't be surprised if Carnival sells the other half to the scrap yard as well.

Costa Luminosa is in dry dock to be converted to Carnival Luminosa. Let's see if Luminosa does well with Carnival. If she's popular there, ok. If not, then I hope she'll get to be transfered to P&O Cruises Australia.

Three more vessels to be sold, 1 from Carnival and 2 from Costa, total of ships sold will increase to 28. https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2022/12/carnival-to-sell-three-more-ships-two-from-costa/

At this point, either Carnival Elation or Carnival Paradise is the most likely to be sold. The 2 Costa Vessels to be sold is very likely to be the Costa Fortuna and the Costa Magica.

Not surprised....the cruise lines generally send their older ships to South Africa....she is currently sailing out of Cape Town on an extended seaon from Cape Town to other SA and Namibian ports...1st time they have had a ship temporarily 'home based' in Cape Town..same with NCL's Jade...preious plans were shelved due to Covid....
