The Spirit of Colombo is heading from Port Botany to Laem Chabang in Thailand, so she won't be coming to NZ. She is being replaced in the Kiwi Service by MSC Carla 3.
The Baltic Purple is the old NYK Cool vessel Ivory Girl.

What are importers/exporters going to do with the Northern Star service suspended/cancelled? There will be no service to Auckland, Wellington or Timaru.

What will they do with vessels from this service?

MSC Martina IMO 9060637 is replacing "Cali" on the Kiwi Express Service. She was built in 1993 as Hansa America, and went on to trade as Maersk Hong Kong.

OC1 will start calling again Timaru first before Port Chalmers from 17 August SPIRIT OF SYDNEY. Southbound cargo from Europe via Asia will transship at Sydney onto OC1 vessels. Don't know about Nelson and Wellington. Exports from Timaru will go out via OC1 service each Friday and transship depending on destination.

According to Maersk's website, after the end of the Northern Star service  there will be NO direct link between Port of Auckland and Tanjung Pelepas/Singapore.

The Norfolk Guardian will be withdrawn from service after V156 to Norfolk Island in August. She is to be replaced by the Chatham Islands trader "Southern Tiare" until such time as a replacement vessel can be found. I assume this means that the next voyage for Norfolk Guardian will be to the breakers.

Hi Brent, it appears it is now the ANL Warragul that is transferring and not the ANL Tongala.

Further to Norfolk Guardian's final voyage to Norfolk Island, she is moving to a layup berh on Captain Cook East. She is awaiting MNZ clearance before she can load. If the defects are bad enough she may not get clearance and it may be straight to scrap. ???

Norfolk Guardian V156 has been cancelled and all cargo has been transferred to South Tiare V1 etd Auckland 17 September. The last supplies to Norfolk Island were delivered in July, so hopefully they will not run out. There is no suitable vessel available to do a one off voyage.
