Hoping to get started soon I'm in the planning stage at the moment, since my original post i have managed to obtain a set of tug plans for a german tug 'Elbehafen' I think she is now called 'Kiwi'' operating out of Chile could do with a photo of her I have tried the photo database here but there does,nt seem to be a search by name facility and to search photo by photo is too time consuming. I have just completed refubishing Smit Rotterdam for a friend and that has got me hooked plus it will keep me from getting in my wifes way now that I am retired.
Regards Algy. :-)

I found this : Kiwi (Ex: Elbehafen I), Harbour Tug, Built 1971 but no photos of her.

You should have a try at making a River Thames tug,one of the old ones though they look much nicer, lots of photos on my site if you need them.

I have drawn quite a few tug plans, steam and motor, which are in the collection of and for sale by Model Boats and Marine Modelling International magazines, all UK published.

Hi Algy,

If of any interest to you, I have a set of scanned drawings of the danish Svitzer tugs Frigga/Fenja/Freja.
The set consist of General arrangement and line drawings in 1:100. Scanned full size in .tif format.
A zipped file with all 3 drawings is 1,6 MB and can be sent by email.

Regards Steen

Algy,

If you select to accept the kind offer given by Steen and build one of the nice Danish tugs I can help you with pictures of details on Frigga.

I have a lot of plans for vessels that were built by DUNSTONS of Hessle on the River Humber.

The plans that I have do not show the hull forms but would be otherwise usable.

Let me know if if there are any particular vessels you would like to see and i'll check them out.
