Naming small ports
« on: June 02, 2016, 09:02:32 AM »
Good morning.

I am on holidays in Spain now and encounter a lot of interesting fishing vessels in very small ports. Now my problem is to post the names of those small ports.Everytime the name  is unknown and comes on the site as "undefined" Is their a solution for this problem or do I have to go on naming the port in my description? Thank you in advance for any help.
Best regards,

Patrick

There seems to be no apparent solution to your problem at present. You will just have to take the trouble to mention the location in your photo description - as indeed you are doing.

Bob is right.  It has been recognised as a problem for some time - indeed we have members in countries with none of their ports listed at all!

At one time someone (probably a past webmaster) was keeping a list of requests/suggestons, but it was not taken forward at that time and, for a variety of reasons, it unlikely that the issue will be resolved in the near future.  It is still, however, very much in mind for when a site upgrade becomes possible.

Thank you very much gentlemen. Now I know for sure I am doing it in the only possible way.

Thanks again,

Patrick
