I understand that Hamburg Sud are purchasing Fesco's container services from New Zealand [and Australia??] to East Asia and North America, rather than the whole company.
Fesco's Asia service already has HS as a partner, and they are also partners with Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd [CP Ships] in a vessel-sharing agreement to North America.
This purchase also includes the ships used in these services.
Completion of the deal is supposed to happen by the end of May.
