M.V Van Gogh
« on: October 14, 2013, 09:25:24 PM »
My last cruise was on the Van Gogh to the Norwegian fjords, was a rough trip out from Harwich as she was late leaving due to a bug on board and the ship needed deep cleaning from top to bottom , the wind was picking up all the time and we left 5 hrs late, the sea state was 5 mtr seas as we crossed the dogger sand banks toward the North Sea which made for an enjoyable trip but not so for most of the passengers !! made it to Bergen on time, but was wondering what happened to her, last I heard she had been broken up for scrap ???

Regards Jon

Van Gogh ex Gruziya has not been broken up.
She is now owned by Salamis Cruise Lines of Cyprus. She is named Salamis Filoxenia and operates Eastern Mediterranean cruises out of Limassol.
